How it works

The endocannabinoid system is a neurotransmission system found in different areas and tissues of our body, which participates in pain modulation.

Cannabinoids are a group of molecules that interact with the endocannabinoid system and are distinguished into 3 types:

Endocannabinoids: are synthesized in our body.

Phytocannabinoids: are found in plants such as cannabis, the best known being THC and CBD.

Synthetic cannabinoids: chemical substances synthesized in the laboratory.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the main phytocannabinoids extracted from the Cannabis plant.

Being a cannabinoid with no psychoactive effect and due to its structure similar to the endocannabinoids synthesized by our body, it can interact with the endocannabinoid system, modulating some of its actions, namely acting in the reduction of chronic pain.
