What is mycosis of the nail?

Mycosis of the nail (also called onychomycosis) is the infection of the nail of the hand or foot by fungus.

The infection most often starts at the periphery of the nail, which turns yellowish, brown, or green.

The fungus burrows under the nail and penetrates the interior, causing the nail to become brittle. The nail can sometimes separate completely or partially, which can be painful.

A mycosis of the nail does not disappear by itself. Without treatment, the mycosis will continue to spread and the problem will get worse, possibly leading to permanent loss of the nail.

How does EXCILOR work?

Excilor has the property of penetrating the nail and rapidly lowering its pH. Excilor thus modifies the microenvironment of the nail, making it less prone to fungal growth.

The damaged nail needs time to regenerate, and the first results of the treatment are visible from the moment the new nail starts to grow.
