Cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon) has a high content of proanthocyanidins (120mg PAC) which, together with vitamin C (40mg ascorbic acid) help to create an unfavorable environment for bacteria (E. coli). Vitamin C also contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system.
