World Animal Day is celebrated on 4 October every year. This day aims to raise awareness about the rights and welfare of animals around the world. During this day, various activities are organised, such as adoption campaigns for abandoned animals, events to raise awareness about the ethical treatment of animals, debates on animal protection issues and fundraising for animal rescue and care organisations. World Animal Day aims to promote respect, compassion and protection for all animal species, as well as emphasising the importance of harmonious coexistence between humans and animals.
